Vermaelen: I am disappointed because I wanted him to stay at the club. He was fantastic for us in the last year, scored lots of goals and I am disappointed he is going but life goes on. We have to focus on the next season with Arsenal. We have to fight and I am confident we have a squad to win something. We start Saturday and this is all clear now, Robin is leaving and we have to move on.
Seriously Van Persie
Winning things takes time Michael Jordan took 7 years to win a ring, and stayed with one team for 12 years and won 6 rings, if all footballers could stop trying to jump ship to win a trophy and take the easy way then they will never get any respect for what they win. Its better to be a legend with no rings (Charles Barkley) than be a winner with no dignity (Lebron) and this same logic can be applied to RVP, he is/was loved by the fans he is living in London (better than manchester) and had the respect of other club fans which is not easy to gain, now all of this has been lost…for what a championship?…ok.
“This is my quest to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march
Into hell for a heavenly cause”.

Olivier Giroud.
Arsenal will be in my blood as well as my heart. I will always, always, always remember you guys. I said I was going to be a Gunner for life and I did not lie because when you are a Gunner you will always be a Gunner. The Club is in my heart and will remain in my heart forever.
